What is Hope and how do we recover or restore it when we believe we have lost it in our lives?

This website is dedicated to answering those questions by providing a forum for addressing issues, circumstances, and conditions surrounding HOPE … and by identifying what can lead each of us and the families and communities we serve to create a better and brighter future regardless of our circumstances.

At some point, or perhaps several times in each of our lives, we are going to face a crisis so large and overwhelming that it will attempt to crush us. That crisis might be physical such as an auto accident which leaves us fighting for our existence or it might be the onset of cancer.  The crisis could be emotional such as the disintegration of a relationship and marriage or the loss of a child. Or the crisis could be spiritual in nature such as an absence of meaning and purpose in life or the rejection of previous religious beliefs.  In each case, it is our response to the crisis which matters and makes all the difference in the future direction of our lives.

Adverse situations and circumstances are a part of all our lives.  Disasters and crisis are definitely not optional for any of us…whether we are rich or poor, in the public spotlight or not.  No human is exempt.  But we can develop the ability to overcome whatever life throws at us.  We are capable not only of surviving adversity and misfortune, but we are capable of gaining strength and even thriving in the face of each crisis we face.  That is the ultimate message of virtually every section and resource cited in this website and blog.
